As a leading provider of specialty insurance and assistance, World Access will arrange and assist with medical and travel services. World Access offers the following services to eligible Companion Global Healthcare members:

             Medical Referrals and Appointments
             Medical Monitoring
             Travel Arrangements regarding your medical treatment overseas
 
To take advantage of our services, please follow these steps:

  1. Before you leave, contact your health plan for coverage details. Coverage outside of the United States may be different.
     
  2. Always carry your current health plan ID card.
     
  3. In an emergency, go directly to the nearest hospital.
     
  4. Contact World Access if you need inpatient care or to locate a doctor or hospital. An Assistance Coordinator, in conjunction with a medical professional, will arrange a physician appointment or hospitalization if necessary.
     
  5. If you need travel arrangements in relation to your treatment, a Travel Coordinator will reserve a flight, hotel room or car on your behalf. Have your credit card ready, service charges will apply.
     
  6. Contact World Access, at 1-877-232-0765, we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
     
  7. If you need to be hospitalized call your Health Plan for pre-certification or pre-authorization. You can find the phone number on your plan ID card. Note: this number is different from the phone number listed above.
