To take advantage of our services, please follow these steps:
- Before you leave, contact your health plan for coverage details. Coverage outside of the United States
may be different.
- Always carry your current health plan ID card.
- In an emergency, go directly to the nearest hospital.
- Contact World Access if you need inpatient care or to locate a doctor or hospital. An Assistance Coordinator, in
conjunction with a medical professional, will arrange a physician appointment or hospitalization if necessary.
- If you need travel arrangements in relation to your treatment, a Travel Coordinator will reserve a flight, hotel room
or car on your behalf. Have your credit card ready, service charges will apply.
- Contact World Access, at 1-877-232-0765, we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- If you need to be hospitalized call your Health Plan for pre-certification or pre-authorization. You can find the phone
number on your plan ID card. Note: this number is different from the phone number listed above.
